Advent Week 3: Joy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.\u201d \u2014 Psalm 126:3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s something radiant about this week of Advent. In this third week of Advent, we light the\u00a0Joy <\/strong>or Shepherd Candle<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 a symbol of wonder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve journeyed through Hope and Peace \u2014 both often quiet, tender movements of the soul \u2014 and now we arrive at\u00a0Joy<\/strong>, a note that rises higher, brighter, fuller. It is the sound of hearts lifting, of laughter returning, of light breaking through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But joy isn\u2019t always loud or easy. It doesn\u2019t always come wrapped in celebration. Sometimes, joy arrives softly \u2014 after tears have fallen, when peace has finally taken root, and when hope has held us steady long enough for gratitude to bloom.
Joy is what happens when we remember we are loved, even here, even now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
